1987 - 1990 Education in photography in an commercial photostudio.
1990 - 1996 Studies in visual communication with focus on photo/film design at the FH Dortmund.
1992 Scholarship for one semester abroad, at the Faculty of Arts and Design in Exeter, England.
1996 Final exams at the FH Dortmund with the photographical book project 'Pine Ridge Indian Reservation'.
1997 DAAD Scholarship for a photographical project on the 'Aborigines in Australia'.
1997 - 2000 Several exhibitions (Goethe Institute Nancy, Photokina Cologne, Voelkerkundemuseum Hamburg, City Museum Münster, Int. Fototage Herten, etc.).
2002 Change of agencies, from Bilderberg in Hamburg to laif in Cologne.
