With the exhibition ”Glances in between - East and West”, Berlin-based Swedish photographer Ann-Christine Jansson depicts the time before, during and after the fall of the wall from a distinctly individual point of view. Close up portraits and glances between East and West Germans tell the story of the GDR dictatorship that was brought down by its own people in 1989, the year of the revolution. As an eye-witness, Ann-Christine Jansson portrays one of the numerous political upheavals the Germans have been through in modern times.
