Zur Person

Ingo Barenschee, born 1965, has seen a lot of the world. After leaving school, he took an apprenticeship in photo retail and worked with various advertising and fashion photographers.
Infected with the travel bug the Hamburger sold his Hasselblad and the VW bus for a month in Brazil.
At the age of 20 he lived in South America and the Caribbean then of his own will let himself drift as far as New York.
The month became nearly a year. The near dropout then became a commuter between different worlds.
At home he worked for a professional photo agency and as a sport photographer, as well as nine months as an assistant
to a renowned industrial and advertising photographer. These jobs enabled him to finance his travels and to work on his beloved sailing boats..
Until one day the north German in him came back to the surface, where his love for the damp native climate with its changing seasons
prevailed over an environment that was always the same.
Ingo Barenschees career as a professional photographer began in 1993 for the German car magazine "Auto Bild"
where he quickly developed an eye for "dynamic with a difference".
He has been commissioned for such magazines as Stern, ADAC special and the German rail transport, also for companies including Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche; Mazda and Nissan.
Today his work includes people, stories, travel and of course everything in motion- "dynamics".
This positively team-person says of himself, that his pictures first form in his eyes and then in his stomach.
Probably the secret of his success: that good photos are not produced on digital alone but somewhere between imagination, fantasy and skill projected
on an imaginary film screen at the back of his mind.
