Zur Person

I grew up in Hamburg and did a traineeship as advertising and portrait photographer in my native town. Afterwards I get a scholarship from "Carl Duisber Gesellschaft" to work tree month in Spain and I felt in love with this amazing country. The next ten years were spent traveling all over Spain and Portugal.
During those years I discovered the profound Spain and Portugal from the remotest villages to the big metropolis like Madrid, Barcelona and Lisbon. With my camera I covered among other things fiestas, traditions, people, politics, cooks and cities.
Since the last ten years I am traveling all over the world, photographing and writing mostly about travel and food for many magazines and newspapers, including Der Feinschmecker, Madame, Der Spiegel, New York Times, Joy, Shape, Focus.
