The Vernissage will start on October 1st, at 20:00 and will last until 23:30. There will be live music as well as finger-food.

Benjamin Hiller (28, Photographer & Journalist) traveled with his sister from April to June for six weeks through the southwest of the USA, passing through Nevada, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Utah. During this trip he tried to capture the essence of the American way of life and landscape, both deeply intertwined with each other. The main focus was on space (aka landscape) and the signs the human beings have left behind.

Only if you travel extensively and also outside the big cities you can recognize all the different influences which have led to the American society. The feeling of the vast open space, the fight for the freedom of the individual as well as the struggle to keep the country going is found here, in the rural areas. Let it be white trash, Mexican immigrants or the middle class - all are experienced and apprehended in an other form here than in the East-Coast or in Washington.

Eine Gruppenausstellung zum Thema "100 Jahre 1.Mai Istanbul", u.a. von den beiden größten Gewerkschaften, dem Journalistenverband, Redfotograf , ÇHD.Ça?da? Lawyers Association uvm. organisiert.

Ich bin einer von drei westeuropäischen Fotografen, welcher bei der Ausschreibung mit in die Auswahl genommen wurde und mit weiteren 28 Fotografen dort ausstellt.

Neben der Ausstellung wird es eine Tagung, eine Ausstellung auf dem Taksim-Platz uvm. geben

Die Ausstellung läuft wie folgt ab:
27. Juni - 3. Juli: CHD Gebäude Istanbul
4-5. Juli: Öffentlicher Platz in Kadiköy
11.-12. Juli: Öffentlicher Platz in Barkirköy
18.-19. Juli: Öffentlicher Platz in Kartal
23.-31.Juli: Ausstellung in der Karsi Sanat Galerie
1.-2. August: Öffentlicher Platz in Avcilar

Danach weitere Ausstellungsorte in der ganzen Türkei - und falls es eine Möglichkeit gibt (bei Interesse an mich wenden) auch Ausstellungen in Westeuropa...

Die Ausstellung fand im Rahmen des Kultursommers 2007 der Stadt Ludwigshafen/Rhein statt. Eine Schwarz-Weiß Mittelformat Arbeit über die Stadt Ludwigshafen/Rhein, welche in vielen Dingen die Entwicklung Deutschlands exemplarisch darstellt. Zusammengefasst in komplementären Bildpaaren und mir dem Schwerpunkt auf Architektur und der Abstraktion von Menschen zeigt es Ludwigshafen mit einer ganz eigenen Ästhetik.
